María de los Á. Sánchez advises organizations on the environmental impact of their activities. Her work includes environmental  impact assessment, regulatory compliance, natural resource management and sustainable strategies to minimize environmental impact with a focus on sustainable tourism and environmentally responsible development projects.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology (BS) and a Master's Degree in Environmental Health (MS) with more than 20 years of experience in the environmental field and over two decades of experience in tourism as a tour guide.

Her work has primarily focused on environmental consulting and renewable energy advisory. She began offering environmental consulting services in 2004 at the Botanical and Cultural Garden of Caguas. Her career has also included work as an Environmental Specialist, teaching courses in Biology and Chemistry at the undergraduate level. She also developed sustainability education initiatives such as composting workshops, e-books, an online course and virtual events focused on environmental practices.  She has also worked as an energy consultant in the solar industry, helping homeowners and businesses evaluate renewable energy solutions.

She also holds OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certifications and has completed solar installation training (IBT 120).
